Bay Arena for Bayer Leverkusen

The Bay Arena, celebrated for its innovative architectural style, utilized Firetex intumescent coatings in the construction of the project to protect the arena.

The new look Bay Arena for Bayer Leverkusen, has been praised for its unique architectural style. Taking 16 months to construct, the arena has increased its capacity from 22,500 to an impressive 30,210 seats by expanding the East and West areas of the stadium by up to 47 rows, including an upper tier.

The system used consisted of Firetex intumescent coating and a topcoat for externally exposed steel.  The total project area covered was 1500m².
